Basic vs. Bells & Whistles.
Welcome to Saskatchewan, where the roads are flat, the deer run rampant, and stone chips are as common as Rider jerseys on game day. If you’ve ever plated a vehicle in our province, then you know that the insurance you get with your registration is pretty basic. While some people are content with the basics, we think you deserve better.
Just because you want something better than the basics, that doesn’t necessarily mean you need a souped-up, flashy, and jacked-up policy either. Connect with one of our advisors and build a policy that fits you.
Did you finance your vehicle? If you did, you’ve probably also signed up for a form of Life Insurance! Creditors tend to slip in “cookie cutter” insurance coverage to protect the loan they just gave you. This insurance isn’t designed to protect you. Usually it’s described as the Cadillac of coverages, and considering the cost, you’d think it should be!
Take just 10 minutes with one of our life & benefits advisors to ensure that you’re not driving around with a lemon of a policy.
Products & Coverages
If you’re responsible for a collision, or if hail damages your car, with basic plate insurance on your vehicle, you must pay a $700 deductible! With a package policy, you get the option of lowering your deductible to an amount that’s a little more budget friendly. How does a $100 deductible sound instead?!
This coverage protects you financially from the pain of a nasty lawsuit. If you’re ever held responsible for causing bodily injury or property damage to a third party, you’ll want more than the basic plate limit. We highly recommended increasing your liability limit, especially for newer drivers because statistically new drivers maybe at a higher risk for causing an accident.
Loss of Use
When you add this coverage onto your auto policy, and your vehicle is damaged in a covered claim, this coverage will help put you back on the road. Loss of Use coverage will help put you into a replacement vehicle while yours is being repaired or replaced.
Let’s be honest, your vehicle starts depreciating the moment it leaves the lot. This coverage will protect your vehicle from depreciation in the event of a total or partial loss. This coverage is typically designed for new vehicles and not so much for your 1999 Pontiac Sunfire.
Road Hazard Glass
Welcome to Saskatchewan. Between our prominent construction season, and our numerous gravel roads, the amount of rocks being kicked up while driving is unbelievable. With Road Hazard Glass coverage on your policy, you won’t have to pay out-of-pocket for stone chips! Didn’t get that chip filled before it turned into a crack? Don’t sweat it. With this coverage and a $50 deductible, you’ll have your windshield replaced in no time.
