Community Involvement

At Harvard Western Insurance, we are driven by the fundamental concept of caring. We help our clients manage their risks because we care about them and what matters most. We also care about our Sask community, and we show how much we care through regular volunteering, fundraising, and education efforts. Want to inquire about a potential team-up?

The Company that Cares about our Community

#BrokersCare Campaign

The #BrokersCare Campaign is the Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS) annual initiative. Their goal is to help raise awareness and show support for the importance of mental wellness in our communities. By purchasing a t-shirt, the funds go towards not-for-profit organizations, registered charities, schools, or other community-based initiatives and partnerships. Each year the #BrokersCare campaign chooses a different theme to help the communities across the province to help vulnerable communities.

The 2022 campaign’s initiative was to support the wellness of the province’s children. The donations raised went towards funding youth mental health crises, enhancing learning opportunities, providing comfort and care to sick kids, and eliminating food insecurity.

KidSport Corporate Challenge

KidSport is a children’s charity that assists children of families facing financial obstacles to participate in community sports programs so that all kids can play. The goal of KidSport is to provide these children with the opportunity to achieve physical, social, intellectual and moral development through participation in sport. Suppose all children have the opportunity to play, learn self-respect, gain self-confidence, adopt active and healthy lifestyles, and realize dreams through sport. In that case, these children may have a better chance of becoming contributing members and leaders in our communities. Each year, Harvard Western Insurance employees step up to join our KidSport Regina Fun & Fitness Corporate Challenge team and the Subrogators and proudly raise money to support the KidSport initiative in our community.

Mother Teresa Middle School

We are so proud of our relationship with Mother Teresa Middle School and feel privileged to be involved in initiatives such as the Zoo Reading Challenge, the Jolly Gingerbread Jamboree and Dr. Seuss Day.  Mother Teresa Middle School offers a comprehensive and unique learning experience that prepares students for success in high school, post-secondary and beyond. Across the province, the achievement gap between Indigenous students and students from low-income families continues to widen. An extended day, summer enrichment program, mentorship opportunities, focus on cultural programming, Jesuit formational education and Graduate Support Program contributes to the “MTMS Difference” for our students and their families.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity Canada brings communities together to help families build strength, stability and independence through affordable homeownership. With the help of volunteers and Habitat homeowners, local Habitats in every province and territory help build and rehabilitate safe, decent and affordable homes, including single-family and multi-unit houses. The Habitat model of affordable homeownership bridges a gap for low-income working families by providing them with the opportunity to purchase their own Habitat home and build a better life. Harvard Western Insurance employees love to trade in their desks for a hard hat and a hammer and help make a difference in our community.
