Building Stronger Communities

As a Saskatchewan-based company, we’re deeply committed to the well-being of our local communities. We believe that our responsibility extends beyond providing insurance solutions to actively participating in initiatives that improve the quality of life for Saskatchewan residents.

That’s why we proudly participate in the #BrokersCare Campaign, led by the Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS), which aims to promote mental well-being in our communities.

Major Community Initiatives

Saskatchewan Roughriders Partnership

Saskatchewan Roughriders community event

Our partnership with the Saskatchewan Roughriders goes beyond business to make a meaningful impact in our community. Together, we’ve developed initiatives that bring joy and inspiration to Saskatchewan residents of all ages.

Kid Captain Program

The Kid Captain program gives young Rider fans an unforgettable gameday experience. Selected children receive game tickets for their family, a personalized Roughriders jersey, and the honour of leading the team onto the field. This program celebrates young community members while creating lifetime memories.

Supporting Truth & Reconciliation

Truth and Reconciliation activities at Mother Theresa Middle School

We have been very fortunate to have our staff be invited to Mother Theresa Middle School each year to immerse ourselves and the students as they learn about the teachings and traditions of the Indigenous culture.

From scraping buffalo hide, the rhythmic traditional drumming, and learning intricate beadwork to the delicious bannock making, these moments weren’t just activities; they were bridges of understanding, strengthening our commitment to the journey of Truth and Reconciliation.

Partnering with HoopLife Basketball

HoopLife Basketball Logo

We are proud to partner with HoopLife Basketball, an organization that provides hundreds of youth in Regina with a safe, inclusive space to build confidence, learn leadership skills, and discover their true potential on and off the court.

Our sponsorship helps HoopLife expand player development, keep live-streaming and communications accessible for local families, and welcome more young athletes through their doors. Beyond this, we are committed to direct mentorship; we have been honoured to support ‘Boost Kid’ player Caleb for a number of years, providing him with a full HoopLife membership, training, and the resources he needs to thrive.

Food Security Initiatives

Food bank volunteers

Harvard Western Insurance actively supports food security through partnerships with the Regina Food Bank. Our team regularly participates in fundraising initiatives to help combat hunger in our communities, such as the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign.

In addition to financial contributions, we encourage employee involvement through volunteer opportunities.

We believe that addressing food insecurity is essential to building healthy, thriving communities across Saskatchewan.

Employee-Led Initiatives

Volunteer Program

Harvard Western employee volunteers

We actively encourage our team members to participate in community service through our employee volunteer opportunities. Each year, Harvard Western Insurance employees contribute volunteer hours to causes such as Habitat for Humanity Regina, United Way Regina and Mother Teresa Middle School.

Our volunteer initiatives include reading projects, mentorship programs, and support for local services, such as our involvement in the ‘Hampers for Hope’ program organized by the Regina Food Bank.

We believe that hands-on involvement strengthens our connection to the communities we serve while addressing important local needs.

Employee Fundraising: United Way Campaign

United Way Volunteer

For over 75 years, United Way Regina has worked to ensure our city thrives. Our partnership specifically strengthens local literacy networks, providing students with classroom libraries and innovative tools like book vending machines.

Each year, our team proudly organizes our annual United Way Corporate Campaign. This sustained commitment fuels vital initiatives, such as Summer Success Camps to prevent learning loss. Thanks to the incredible drive of our staff, our October 2025 campaign successfully raised $26,044! Beyond fundraising, our staff stays hands-on by volunteering to distribute books and support school-based events.

Employee Fundraising: KidSport Regina

KidSport Regina

We believe that every child deserves the chance to experience the joy, teamwork, and confidence that comes with playing sports. Over the years, our team has been proud to support KidSport Regina through various donations and community initiatives to help eliminate the financial barriers to youth sports.

Our major highlight each year is participating in the Amazing Race corporate challenge. Beyond sponsoring an official pitstop, our team actively hits the ground running to tackle the course. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our staff, our team raised $2,215 during our 2026 race to help more local kids get off the sidelines and into the game!
