Real Classy Coverage
Your Classic isn’t just another car, it’s a treasure, and it should be treated as such. But regular insurance policies and plates won’t cut it. Antique vehicle plate insurance is different from average plate insurance because it’s cheaper in cost, but it also doesn’t value your vehicle the way that it should be. Basic plate insurance assumes that because your vehicle is older, it isn’t worth much. But we disagree!
Your Classic deserves a little respect. Let’s protect what matters most to you.
Products & Coverages
Agreed Value is the value that your vehicle will be insured for based on the proven value of your vehicle, as determined by both you and the insurance company. Appraisals, photos, or other relevant documentation will determine the value of the vehicle. You will provide these to the insurance company so that they can get a big-picture look at your vehicle. With Agreed Value coverage on your policy, the insurance company will guarantee that they will pay this agreed-upon value in the event of a covered total loss.
Guaranteed Flatbed Towing
Your classic deserves to be handled with care. When you are a Hagerty Driver’s Club member, you get flatbed towing from pick up to destination with soft nylon straps.
Let’s be honest, your classic or antique probably isn’t a daily driver. When your vehicle is tucked away in storage, it’s important to remember that your vehicle could still be at risk of a claim. Theft, vandalism, and other threats still exist, and your home insurance isn’t going to extend to protect your vehicle. A package policy will though.
This coverage is exactly what it sounds like it would be, and you have this coverage whether you own a policy or just have plates. If your vehicle collides with another vehicle, or a post, or a snowbank, this coverage will respond. If you’re responsible for a collision when you only have plate insurance on your vehicle, then you have to pay a $700 deductible! With a package policy, you get the option of lowering your deductible to an amount that’s a little more budget-friendly. How does $100 deductible sound instead?
This coverage is for basically everything that isn’t a collision. Things like fire, theft, wind, hail, and vandalism are types of losses that would be covered by this insurance. Oh, you only have plate insurance on your vehicle? Okay, well then you’ll have to come up with $700 to cover the deductible. Package policies let you have comprehensive deductibles as low as $50… just saying.
This coverage protects you financially from the pain of a nasty lawsuit. If you’re ever held responsible for causing bodily injury or property damage to a third party, you’ll want more than the basic plate limit.
