Position Overview
At Harvard Western Insurance, our Personal Lines Insurance Brokers play a vital role in helping individuals and families find the right insurance solutions for their unique needs. As a broker on our team, you’ll build meaningful client relationships while providing expert advice on home, auto, tenant, and recreational vehicle insurance coverage.

Key Responsibilities
Client Consultation & Advisory
- Conduct detailed needs assessments to understand client insurance requirements
- Provide expert advice on appropriate personal insurance solutions
- Explain coverage options, limits, deductibles, and premium calculations
- Create personalized insurance packages for home, auto, recreational vehicles, and other products of personal property
Policy Management
- Process applications, policy changes, renewals, and cancellations
- Prepare accurate quotes and documentation for clients
- Maintain detailed client records and policy information
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company procedures
Client Relationship Building
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients
- Conduct regular policy reviews to ensure coverage meets changing client needs
- Provide exceptional customer service and timely responses to inquiries
- Assist clients during the claims process and serve as their advocate

Is previous insurance experience required for this position?
While prior insurance experience is an asset, we also consider candidates who are new to the industry but demonstrate strong aptitude, interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn. The most important requirement is having (or being willing to obtain) a Level 1 Insurance License.
What training is provided for new brokers?
New brokers receive comprehensive training that includes product knowledge, sales techniques, customer service best practices, and systems training.
